Offer and Acceptance
When a buyer is interested in purchasing your home, his agent will present your Realtor® or listing agent with an offer to buy your home. You, as the seller, can do one of three things: accept the offer, reject the offer, or counteroffer. Your listing agent will help you with the negotiating process.
The negotiating terms may include the sales price, closing date, date of actual possession, amount of closing cost if any that will be paid, date of home inspection, etc.
Once an accepted contract exists between you and the buyer, your Realtor® will help you with the final steps towards settlement or closing. These steps are not limited to, but may include, termite inspections, repairs, pay-off loan information, etc.
Rest assured that your listing agent will be there to assist you in every step of the way!
